CDFW Woodbridge Ecological Reserve Evening Tours

October 9th and 10th marked the beginning of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife tour season at the Woodbridge Ecological Reserve to see Sandhill Cranes fly-in to roost. We were greeted by 1200 Lesser and Greater Sandhill Cranes and a full moon. Participants agreed that it was breathtaking!

Tours are given on Saturday and Sunday evenings on the first three weekends of each month. The tours last through February and are led by CDFW docents. The tours begin at the South unit for an orientation and then the group moves to the North unit, which is closed to the public.

Reservations an be made at this site and tours are free to the public. You are reminded that visitors at the Woodbridge Ecological Reserve must purchase a Lands Pass at this site or at any dealer that sells hunting and fishing licenses.
