This tour will sell out early! It has all of the excitement of the other fly-in tours in the area, but visitors will disembark the bus at the Woodbridge Ecological Reserve North Unit, where they will be treated to a presentation by Department of Fish and Wildlife docents.
At dusk, in large groups that can number from several hundred to several thousand, the cranes converge on the flooded fields to roost for the night. Often this spectacle of flight, vocalization and ground activity is back-dropped by stunning sunsets behind Mt. Diablo.
