TOUR DESCRIPTION

Join us for a guided tour of Staten Island aboard a small bus and discover how agriculture and wildlife conservation thrive together along the Mokelumne River. This exclusive experience includes access to private areas that are not typically open to the public, offering unique opportunities to explore the island’s working agricultural landscape and diverse wildlife habitats.

Throughout the tour, you’ll have opportunities to observe Sandhill Cranes, a wide variety of migratory birds, and other wildlife while learning how innovative farming practices and habitat management support both productive agriculture and healthy ecosystems. The experience concludes with a special opportunity to witness the evening crane fly-in, as hundreds of Sandhill Cranes return to their nighttime roosts—an unforgettable wildlife spectacle and the perfect ending to a remarkable day on Staten Island.
