TIME: 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

DESCRIPTION: Want to get your kids involved in the Lodi Sandhill Crane Festival? This tour is the perfect way to start. Join us at the Cosumnes River Preserve boardwalk where your family will have a chance to see waterfowl and maybe Sandhill Cranes through our spotting scopes. Naturalists will be there to help and answer your questions. They will also have microscopes set up so children can view the critters that live in pond water.

Follow up on this tour by bringing the family to Hutchins Street Square on Saturday or Sunday to see live animal presentations, to fold paper origami cranes, to do hands on science, and participate in other kid centered activities.

LANDS PASS: No Land Pass is required for this tour

TRANSPORTATION: You will drive your own vehicle

CHECK-IN: Join your guide at the Cosumnes River Preserve boardwalk ~ 0.3 miles north of the visitor center parking lot. (13501 Franklin Blvd., Galt, CA) at 3:50 p.m.

NOTE: Tour guide3s will provide spotting scopes and other equipment for viewing wildlife. This Friday evening tour may cause customers to arrive back at Hutchins Street Square after the Opening Reception begins. We will hod refreshments if you are registered for the event.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE: Choose an option and select the number of reservations you wish to purchase. No actual tickets will be issued. You will receive an email to confirm your reservation (Check your Spam Folder if you do not receive one) On the day of the tour your guide will have a list of participants and will check you in.

 WAITING LIST PROCEDURES: If you try to register for a tour that is full, you may be given the option to get on a waiting list. The waiting list is limited to the first few customers who attempt to register. If space becomes available these customers will be notified by email that they have 48 hours to register for the tour. After 48 hours, the space(s) will be open for registration on a first come-first serve basis. This system is fully automated. Our volunteer staff will not be able to let you know if you are on the waiting list.

 LATE REGISTRATION: If you register for a tour after the deadline, please bring a copy of your confirmation email to show your guide or show confirmation on your cell phone.
