LIVE ANIMAL PRESENTATION – A Bit about Bats with NorCal Bats – November 3, 2024

Sunday, November 3, 2024

3:15 – 4:00 PM

Crete Hall, Hutchins Street Square, Lodi, CA

Bats play an essential role in the environment and are often misunderstood.  Corky Quirk of NorCal Bats is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of bats and is committed to public education regarding the environmental benefits of bats, dispelling fears and myths that lead to the death of roosts and colonies. Corky Quirk is back to share information and introduce us to some of these winged wonders.

Located in the Sacramento Valley, Northern California Bats’ trained volunteers care for injured and orphaned bats throughout the valley and surrounding foothills.  Learn about these highly valuable animals and their importance in insect control.

Corky Quirk founded NorCal Bats in 2004 and has educated thousands of people about bats.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources from Humboldt State University and works part time leading school field trips in the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area.

Bats used in programming are certified as non-releasable by California Department of Fish & Wildlife and the U.S. Department of Agriculture as injury precludes them from surviving in the wild.

THIS IS A FREE PRESENTATION

Seating will be first come first serve.
