TOUR #2323 – Sunset Leisure Cruise on Lodi Lake – November 4, 2023

A tranquil Lodi Lake and the meandering Mokelumne River provide the rare opportunity for Crane Festival participants to enjoy a leisurely sunset patio boat ride. Join a local naturalist as you glide along viewing the lake’s verdant scenery, resident birds, and wildlife. You might even catch a glimpse of a browsing deer or basking turtle.  A great way to end a busy day.  The tour is only available on Saturday evening, and the capacity is only SEVEN! Toilet facilities are dockside.  Dress for the evening air and possible rain.

TOUR TIME: 3:45 – 5:55 p.m.

DIRECTIONS: Lodi Lake is located at 1101 W. Turner Road. This tour begins and ends at the Lodi Lake Boat house. Meet your guide at the Boat House by 3:45 p.m. Toilet facilities are dockside.  Dress for the evening air and possible rain. Park on the street or pay a $5.00 fee for parking onsite.

Tour guides will receive a list of customers who have registered by October 28, 2023.

Customers who register online for a tour after that date must show the guide a hard copy or phone display of the email receipt. The receipt may go to your spam folder.

Unsold tickets will be available during the festival and can be purchased on this website.

QUESTIONS REGARDING REGISTRATION: Contact the Registration Coordinator at tours@lodisandhillcrane.org or leave a message at (800) 581-6150. Notify the Registration Coordinator in advance if special accommodations are needed. Expect a response from the Coordinator within the week.

Cancellation Policy: Full refunds (minus a 3% processing fee) are available prior to a tour upon the customer’s request at tours@lodisandhillcrane.org. A full refund is automatically issued for any events cancelled by the festival organizers.

Meet your guide for check in at the Lodi Lake Boat House.

The tour launches at 3:55 p.m.

The tour ends at the Lodi Lake Boat House.

It is best to dress in layers.  The delta can be very cool in the morning and evening, but quite warm in the afternoon.

Food is not available on this tour.  Participants may bring their own snacks and drinks.

No, this tour does not require a Lands Pass.

It is a good idea to bring binoculars, but there will be no room on the boat for a spotting scope.

You should definitely bring your camera.

Yes there are restrooms or a port-a-potty available at the tour site.  There are no restrooms on the boat. Therefore, everyone should use the restroom before the tour begins.

This tour requires the ability to access a small watercraft from a dock.

Yes, there is handicap parking available at the tour site.

In general, it is not acceptable to bring dogs to the festival or on tours because they may interfere with other participants or disturb wildlife. Service animals must be handled so as not to disturb other people or wildlife. On bus or boat tours, service animals must sit on their owner’s lap because of limited space.

There are many insects, including mosquitoes in the delta, so long sleeve shirts and long pants are recommended. Insect repellent is recommended.
